Environmental Engineering
Technicon offers experienced knowledge of regulations and industry standards regarding all aspects of the type of site assessment and environmental services that our clients may need. We recognize the importance of protecting our clients from unknowingly acquiring contaminated or environmentally impacted land. All of our services are prepared in accordance with the appropriate governing regulations and industry accepted standards. For Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, we perform the work using standards and guidelines presented in the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) Designation E 1527, ASTM Standards on Environmental Site Assessments for Commercial Real Estate. For Phase II Investigations, our services are completed in accordance with the requirements of, and most up-to-date guidelines established by, local, state, and federal regulatory requirements. We can also provide sampling and testing for lead and asbestos.
Geotechnical Engineering
The structural integrity of any building begins with a good foundation. However, a good foundation can suffer distress and failure if the underlying soils are unable to provide adequate support. Therefore, it is imperative that an evaluation of existing site soil conditions be achieved and understood. We have performed geotechnical investigations for hundreds of industrial, commercial, residential and institutional buildings.
Materials Testing and Inspection
Technicon has created a full-service testing and inspection program that is one of the best in the state. Materials testing and inspection are a key part of what Technicon is all about. A combination of experts in steel, concrete, masonry and earthen materials allows us to provide a wide range of construction materials testing and inspection services. Technicon has provided materials testing and special inspections for private industry, hospitals, schools, government agencies, and the military.
